Women to Women Fund Honors Carol Reitan

Carol Reitan, the first woman Mayor of Normal and a founder of the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation was honored at a Women’s Exchange meeting held on February 15th at Westminster Village.  A panel on Women in Politics, moderated by Sonja Reece, Normal City Council, included Millicent Roth, District 87 School Board, Beth Kimmerling, McLean County Coroner, Karen Schmidt, Bloomington City Council, and Cheryl Gaines, Normal City Council.  Carol was recognized for her leadership in many local initiatives including Habitat for Humanity, Neville House, Heartland Theatre and the Women to Women Fund.
