SAMPLE BEQUEST LANGUAGE
I hereby devise to the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, Inc., currently located in Normal, IL, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, or to its successor organization, the following assets:1 __________________________________________ . I direct that to the extent that, at the time of my death, assets are included in my estate which would produce income in respect of a decedent, such assets should be used, to the extent possible to fund such bequest.

I understand that if any gifts to the Community Foundation are received and accepted
subject to a Donor's conditions or restrictions as to the use of the gift or
income therefrom, said conditions or restrictions will be honored, subject,
however, to the authority of the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation's Board of Directors (hereinafter
"the Board") to vary the terms of any gift if continued adherence to any
condition or restriction is in the judgment of the Community Foundation's Board of
Directors unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment or inconsistent with the
charitable needs of the community served by the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation.
