  • May 1, 2018 – Women to Women Spring Forum, ISU’s Alumni Center, 1101 N. Main St., Normal

A public forum about ensuring schoolchildren are prepared to learn will be hosted by the Women to Women Giving Circle from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at the ISU Alumni Center, 1101 N. Main St., Normal. The group, a component program and funding arm of Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, sponsors an annual spring forum, which is free and open to the public. A panel of local educators and social service experts will discuss what early childhood intervention is and why it is important.

Panelists are:

  • Karen Bruning, Executive Director of Heartland Head Start, Bloomington
  • Danel Harr, Principal of Sarah Raymond School of Early Education (District 87 Schools)
  • Ginger Payne, Special Education Administrator for Tri-County Special Education Association
  • Kris Pennington, Early Learning Program Coordinator for Unit 5 Schools
  • Dianne Schultz, CEO of The Baby Fold, Normal

Illinois State University students Lauren Krantzen and Aly Neitzel will present the results from their recent research on early childhood education and intervention as part of coursework for Cynthia Edmonds-Cady, Associate Professor of Social Work at ISU. A question and answer session will follow the panel discussion.   • June 26, 2018 – Women to Women Summer Celebration, ISU Hancock Stadium Club, 211 N. Main St., Normal

Join us at this new location to hear how Women to Women funds are working to help women and children in our community. Connect and reconnect with new and old friends who share enthusiasm for Women to Women! Invite a friend or two to this fun gathering.

The morning will feature a nonprofits workshop with a luncheon following that will honor the Philanthropist(s) of the Year.
